The Boyfriend Look

Image

My boyfriend hates makeup. He loathes it… especially when I am getting ready in the morning and taking up his mirror space. But I actually don’t think I put on a lot of makeup at all, and on my “lazy days” I’ll just put on my glasses to cover my eyes so I don’t have to wear anything. Yes, I can be that lazy. However, when I do make an effort, I try to go for the all-natural look – which means, no eye shadow, no foundation, and definitely no false lashes. Seriously, it’s just TOO. MUCH. DAMN. WORK. Plus, if you work in a professional environment, I think it’s best to leave the blue eyeshadow and glitter lipstick for a night out with the girls instead. Am I right?

So I created this look that literally takes me less than 10 minutes. It’s fast, easy, and guaranteed to get my boyfriend off my case.

Here’s what I used:

  • Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Hibiscus
  • E.L.F. Eyebrow Kit
  • Measurable Difference Instant Lash Mascara
  • MAC Mineralize Concealer
  • Laura Geller Blush-n-Brighten Pink Grapefruit Blush

Sometimes, I’ll add eyeliner, but I’m not wearing any in this photo. I think the less I have to do, the better. Facts.

I love love love Laura Geller’s Baked Blushes. The Blush-n-Brighten Pink Grapefruit Blush gives me that warm, dewy look I have been looking for all summer. I’m also really excited about using Measurable Difference’s products. I’m currently using their Lash & Brow Amplifying Serum to get my lashes to grow, and it’s been helping. The mascara is one of my favorite products because I don’t even need to curl my lashes anymore. Again, the less work I have to do in the morning, the better.

My boyfriend still complains about my makeup routine in the morning, but that’s only because he thinks I’m beautiful looking the way I do when I roll out of bed.  And that’s the best compliment any woman can ever receive.

REVIEW: Lindi Skin Face Serum Lavender

Lindi Skin Face Serum Lavender

Lindi Skin Face Serum Lavender

I absolutely love this product. I have only been using it for 2 weeks but it’s one of the best moisturizers I’ve ever used. I apply just a pump of the product before going to bed and my face is super soft in the morning. Smells like lavender but it is not overpowering at all.

It feels silky to the touch, and looks a bit greasy when you first put it on, but it absorbs into the skin pretty quickly. It’s super hydrating and great if you have normal to dry skin.

One of the reasons why I love this line is because they have products for cancer patients who undergo chemo therapy and radiation. They have a wide range of other products, but this is the only one I own. If you happen to use other products by Lindi, let me know how it works for you.

This product goes for $40. You can also read other reviews here.
